A note: I may not be able to do this for every council/committee meeting but I am going to try as a means to keep constituents informed and solicit feedback, thoughts, and concerns. I have not read the reports in detail yet, nor have I asked questions to administration or connected with my fellow councillors. I have high leveled through the documents and am sharing some items that caught my eye, this is not an exhaustive list. Something may catch your eye, and if it does, please reach out. ffathers[at]citywindsor[dot].ca

Nov 24 Agenda

7.4 SUPIE Program Expansion – pdf pg. 21

I think the SUPIE program is awesome! I have a few tactical questions about this but am very supportive of it continuing.

8.6 Extension of the Heritage Property Tax Reduction Program – pdf pg. 55

As Bill 23 impacts the heritage register process and tightens designation rules, expanding the Heritage Property Tax Reduction Program offers a practical way for the City to support owners in securing heritage status. A number of West Windsor buildings come to mind.

8.9 – Proposed Alley Maintenance Standards and Policy Enhancements – pdf pg. 74

Because I am an alley nerd this is a big item for me.

8.11 – Zoning By-Law Amendment – Ward 2 – 3858-3868 Peter St – pdf pg. 125

Passed at standing committee ~6 hours after I was sworn in. This would see a modest warehouse for storage to be built next to an existing business location on Peter Street. You can watch the standing committee agenda item (5:07pm timestamp) and at first glance it seems to be a good rezoning and use of a underutilized property to help a business expand.

11.1 – 2026 Stormwater and Wastewater Rate Setting Report – pdf pg. 349

Will impact your Enwin bill as residential fixed water rates seem to decline.

11.2 – 2025 Third Quarter Operating Budget Variance Report – pdg pg. 414

If you want to start getting ready for the 2026 budget, reading where we are now is a good first step.

11.4 Council Calendar for 2026 – pdf pg. 474

Summary of survey results around council dates and times are presented as well as the overall council calendar.

Nov 26 Agenda – ETPS Standing Committee

My first meeting at this committee! 4:30pm if you want to come out after work.

8.1 Bicycle Parking Policy Implementation and Feasibility Update – pdf pg. 56

8.2 Traffic Calming Policy Update 2025 – pdf pg. 104

Both of these items are ones I am looking to better understand and dig into…

Transit Board Meeting

Doesn’t appear to have much on the agenda but again it is my first meeting so maybe there is a surprise?
